I was wondering if you have any good websites and/or books that you could suggest for my topic research. Hopefully you'll get back to me as soon as possible. Thank you.Flag

Name: Lindsay Pace on Mar 14, 2007State: VACountry: USComments: I think they should take 5% of pro athletes salaries and divide the amount among Teachers, Firemen, Police Officers, Rescue workers, and I might be missing one or two! I just believe everyone in the world would be a little happier to see those professions make a little more money and this is definitely one way to do it since athletes are paid excessively high amounts of money!!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 15, 2007State: WICountry: USComments: I clearly agree with most of the comments regarding the attitudes of alot not most of the professional atheletes, however were my oppinion differs is when individuals make statements with regard to how much an athelete should make. Lets not forget for ever check issued there are owners that make a astronomical amount of money off of these players in which the players are the product. Take for instance, If you worked for a fortune five hundred company and you were the direct result in a rise in sales you probably would want to be compensated for your efforts. So when we attempt to determine what we think a player should earn we need to understand the business aspect and economics of the big picture. I most certainly agree that Teachers, Nurses, and civil servants should, however your cause should not be taken up with professional sports, however with your local, state and goverment officials who dictate what these civil servants make. bETTER YET,If you have a major problem with our professional product the best thing you could do is not to contribute to their cause but be a voice in a more producted area.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 21, 2007State: MICountry: USComments: I completely agree, the sports industry, heck the whole entertainment industry makes WAY too much money, and everyone is overpaid. People need to value what is important, people who HELP people, whether it's in the community or through research. Examples are firemen, police officers, teachers, doctors, etc. Entertainment is NOT worth more than these above jobs.Flag
