| 3051 | Anna Tew | I love the Astrodome. I remember the first time I got to be where the pitchers mound used to be and was able to look up-it seemed like it went to the sky.
I vote for glow in the dark stars to be painted on the ceiling and it left as a historical land mark. |

John Pruett | Please save the Astrodome, Houston has little historical places and this one has to be saved!!!!

Woodrow Michael Herring | When they destroyed ASTROWORLD that took a BIG chunk out of the hearts of MANY Houstonions. And then to find out that it was all done to cover up financial mishandlings of upper management, then the property sold for less than half the expected value....that makes me sick. I cannot pass that property without choking up in tears. DONT do the same to the Astrodome, where I watched my first major league ballgame.

Kelly Reynolds | I live in Sugar Land now but was born in Houston and am, thanks to both my mother and father, a second generation Houstonian (and a fourth generation Texan, for that matter). The Dome is a Houston landmark that absolutely must be preserved.
Chelby King | Save the historically and architecturally significant Astrodome.

Evalyn | There is arguably no more architecturally interesting public sports areana in the world. Thank you GHPA for helping save this beloved landmark and getting it the historic designation it deserves.

Jeanne Dyer
Julio & Aurora Salinas | We applaud the GHPA for this effort. It is long overdue.

Richard Barnes | Save the Dome !
Darrell A. Haertl | I support the Rodeo and Texans but strongly object to their obstructionist opposition to any plan that they think might actually require some compromise or sacrifice on their part. Especially since it is only perceived and can not be known for sure that they would be hurt at all. Both entities exist because of the support of area citizens, they should remember that.
Robert E. Lambert | Originally from New York, all my relatives who visit must have me take them by the Astrodome. It is nationally if not globally known as the "eighth wonder of the world". We must preserve this landmark.
Matt Hartzell |
David Nigh |
| 3076 | G. G. Gibson | Although the Astrodome may lack the esthetic appeal of the Roman Colosseum, it is a fine example of
state-of the-art engineering of the period. It also holds wonderful memories for many Houstonians. |

Phillip L. Johnson, Sr. | The dome is no longer the largest, or the best looking; but it was the first. Considering the memories associated with this building, it MUST be kept for future generations to see and enjoy.

John Hardwick | We should save the dome and have a contest to see what the best way is to utilize the structure.
Kathie Easterly | Our buildings are part of our history. Enough with Houston being called "The City Without a Past."
Anonymous |
Leslie Easterwood, DVM | Houston should do everything we can to preserve and treasure the Astrodome! Nothing says Houston, Texas better than the Astrodome!
Elias Moreno | The Astrodome is a historical place and should be maitained as such. Ater all it was called the 8th wonder of the world.
Diane Soffar |
Tammy Dippel | We should save our 8th Wonder of the World by redeveloping the historic Astrodome into the Astrodome Sports Museum of Houston (Texas).
Mary Lynn Johnson
Denise McQueen | Houston seems to tear down everything that is over 20 years old. This is a historic landmark and needs to be refurbished and maintained, and not thrown to the wolves. Sad . . .
John A. Combs | It would be a shame to deprive our future visitors of this wonderous structure and adchitecture.
