In reality its the only way to renew the dome a save it from becoming in our history books instead of being a part of a continuing legacy that Houston holds dearly. I go to the rodeo year after year and the dome's appearance outside is worse and worse. we need to do something before it becomes a one of the greatest eye sores of the world. letting it become a our soccer stadium would guarantee a long lasting renovated wonder of the 20th century. Our Astrodome is a work of art, it has influenced our lives with football games, baseball, rodeos and much more. we cant let it rot away... |

| 2668 | Amanda Weatherby | I have grown up with the Astrodome. I love it. Every single Astros game I have ever been to has been in that dome. It is a part of me and it was an integral part of my childhood. Please save the Astrodome. It is a major part of the history of our city. |

| 2670 | Anonymous | Please save the Astrodome. With Astroworld and other things In Houston constantly changing the Astrodome remains one of the few things here that has history to it. |
| 2671 | Osman Galindo | As a child I could remember seeing the Houston Astrodome towering ominously in the distance as my parents drove me and my siblings home from school. I remember my first baseball game; being so excited to finally go inside our stadium.
It's "our" stadium, it's Houston's stadium.
In a city so industrialized and drab, the stadium remains one of the few landmarks that make me proud to call myself a Houstonian. I dream of the day I'm able to take my children to their first ball game, the way my parents took me, and hopefully, it'll be inside the Astrodome. |

| 2678 | Blanca | I believe that it should be renovated for another sport team, as someone suggested the Dynamos. It is sad that here in Houston we tend to demolish so many historical landmarks. |
| 2679 | Sarah | Please save the dome! It is a landmark of Houston, of Texas, of the South. It should be a symbol of our drive to develop AND preserve! |

| 2695 | Tim Windham | The Astrodome is of historical significance. This is a Texas landmark that is unmistakable. Demolishing this original architectural wonder, which has been continually flattered via imitation, deserves a place in Houston, Texas, and world history. If the Astrodome is not preserved, at least convert the stadium into a world class indoor track & field venue (Summer Olympics, anyone?), a regional sports complex, a luxurious amenities laden hotel, a car or art museum, a convention center (GRBCC wasn't big enough to handle the RNC), a movie set...anything but erasing a wonderful part of our history. Don't be cheap. This is your home, too. |
