Fifty-two countries, including France and the United Kingdom, have signed a letter asking the United Nations to refer the President of Syria Baschar al-Assad to the International Criminal Court in the Hague. Russia, China, and the United States are refusing to sign the letter. The White House has provided nothing but silence on this matter. The beginning of the 21st Century is far worse than the beginning of the 20th Century and history taught us where festering problems can lead to. Unless we mobilize to stop the violence in Syria by condemning those perpetuating the violence, humanity will continue to suffer.
