| 303 | LAURIE SMITH | it must be stopped!! cant we see what is happening here? the recent developement is ugly! and there is little left for farm ladn, horses, hayfields to support our local way of life...what makes WNC attractive. Justlike Florida, they will come in, spoil the beauty and the leave! |
| 304 | Britney Laughter | I've grown up in these mountains and now am away attending UNC Chapel Hill. Every time I come home for a break I see more of these beloved mountains whittled away for development. They can't be regained and their loss is going to affect the local ecosystem. |

Recognize that as you preserve the mountains and the slopes, you save them for future generations to enjoy and you will draw increased tourism to those that seek the solitude of a mountain trail. No man should capture the beauty and hold it only for himself. Once it is gone, it will never go back.
" Keep close to Nature's heart...and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean. " John Muir |
