Please help link all concerned parties to speak with one loud voice. It seems that Laurel Valley Watch needs to link with you and others to help preserve our mountains.

this to happen. May4th, Nov 6th of 2008 must be the rallying cry for change. One can only hope there is something left to change

are destroying the life of our mountains.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
Leave our mountains alone. |

| 19 | Suzan Muldowney | Shame on you Asheville for turning this beautiful countryside into a shrine honoring the "Almighty dollar" and distasteful representation of Our beautiful State.
Shame on you for not honoring the best interest of the people or the land.
The Asheville/ Woodfin areas are quickly losing the jewel that made people want to live here and protect it. Our slice of heaven is being turned into another New Jersey or New York. No thank you! Let's not "Jersey up N.C.!" |

| 21 | Lael Wadopian | I am local Asheville girl...born and raised with the love for the Appalachians in my blood. In the 20 years of my existence I have seen my mountains disappear. It pains me to see the new developers of the “Cliffs” out in Swannanoa. The side of the mountain on exit 59 is being torn into everyday. Not to mention everywhere else around the city of Asheville, and the neighboring communities. I hope that some how we can stop, or even slow down how fast we are losing our Mountains. I want my children and great grandchildren to understand why this city means so much to me. |

| 23 | Linda Snyder | As a person who left Asheville as a youth and returned as a retiree thirty five years later..it is so important in my eyes to save these beautiful mountains. We are so blessed to have them, they are a part of us. In my opinion, we can't afford to lose them....whatever the cost. |

sounds pretty smart to me, and beneficial for the people and the mountains they [I] love! |

| 35 | Harry L. Baker | I thought that the State had a Rigdetop Law? But we do have to protect our fragile environment of our NC ridgetops and slopes. I'm for it!!! |
| 36 | Anonymous | The degree of massive development I've observed in less than 3 yrs. of living in WNC is alarming! The impact on water supply in a variety of ways are irreversible once they occur. The redefinition of the area and its balance of natural resouirces when impacted by such development greatly reduces the qualitry of life for all!
Without immediate action and controls these massive slope developments will eliminate the bounteous aspects earth life as we've known it.
PLEASE take action NOW! |

| 50 | Edward Brown | I recently visited Asheville as we are looking to move in the future and heard so many great. However when we got there we were a bit disappointed by the ridge tops covered by houses. It was pretty ugly. I think we still might move down - but we had always planned on living more in tune with the surrondings - rather then overwhelming them. So for what it is worth from someone outside of asheville - please stop the over development and keep it sensible and scenic.
Thanks. |
