Name: Trey Rouse on Dec 31, 2011Comments: A large, vocal segment of this community has been against the building of the Ashby for quite some time now-- I am surprised that the builders still wish to build on that property. It shows simply that the wishes of the community are not being considered and as such is an affront to all of us. Please, after all this time, do something to end this construction. The people do not want it.Flag

Name: Tracy Stein on Jan 2, 2012Comments: Although i live outside houston in west university,I want to register my objection to the high rise as destructive to a neighboring community and further density in an area not equipped to handle what already exists. Please stop this building. Thank you. TFSFlag

Name: Ne'eman Bar Aviv on Jan 2, 2012Comments: We should not be nimbys but care about what might befall & be negatively impacting other communities across the city, e.g., Kirby @ Westheimer. We should take advantage of best practices that seem to be more consistently applied elsewhere re: highrise et al development, e.g., Montreal where highrise projects incorporate green spaces as buffers (unlike NYC); LA & WDC which limit/focus highrise projects to/on major thoroughfares & in the latter case commercial, high-trafficked activity centers are prevented from feeding traffic into adjacent residential areas (unlike here) by fencing/walls & vegetation as screening to mitigate visual, audible & air pollution & add green space to & beautify the community.Flag

Name: Sandy Dahlke on Apr 21, 2012Comments: I'm horrified that Mr.Morgan and Mr.Kirton would even entertain the idea of placing a huge 21-23 story building on a two lane street that will "dump" between 200 and 400 cars onto that street daily and destroy the neighborhoods that have been in existence over 50 years. Why not build 3-4 story million dollar condos in that location. I suppose It's not enough money, and it's all about greed and money. Incredible!Flag

Name: Aswin Sankar on Apr 25, 2012Comments: Kirby-greenbriar-shepherd streets are already overloaded during peak hours. This construction is a recipe for additional gridlock! The neighborhood north of Rice campus is beautiful, green and serene. Cant understand the logic in spoiling the neighborhood with a high-rise.Flag
