Name: Patricia M. Reed on Sep 25, 2007Comments: I vehemently protest the proposed high rise project for 1717 Bissonnet. I am sure all of the reasons against the project have stated by many. I agree with all of them. I hope that the protest will appeal to Mr. Morgan's and Mr. Kirton's sense of integrity. We, including them, all chose the beauty and neighborhood qualities of this area as our choice of where to live. Hopefull, the two men will come to their senses.Flag

Name: Kathy Wetmore on Sep 25, 2007Comments: this project will greatly diminish the property values of the surrounding neighborhoods, add much more traffic to an already congested bissonnet street and overall destroy the peace and beauty of the southampton and boulevard oaks areas.Flag

Name: Susan Broer on Sep 25, 2007Comments: This is not progress for Houston! This unconscionable assault on our neighborhood must be stopped. It is totally inappropriate for the area, totally out of scale, and will lessen the quality of life for those already living in our wonderful area and no doubt lower property values. Are you listening, Houston city governmentFlag

Name: Marion Glober on Sep 25, 2007Comments: Disgusting example of greed!! Where are our city officials BEFORE this kind of project comes to be public information. Any property that is vunerable should be monitored and we should work towards a permanent pro-active solution - not just the stop-gap desperate attempts to prevent a project like this that is already in the works. What about 'zoning' the whole neighborhood for NO HIGH RISES. Is the property where the Greenbriar Chateau is located next That property has also been sold.Flag

Name: Gary Glober, M.D. on Sep 25, 2007Comments: The neighborhood experienced not too long ago the major traffic problems engendered by the work on 59. That was a necessary inconvenience given the value of the improvements to Houston. However, the Ashby High Rise only benfits the developers.Flag
