Comments: Jaywalking restrictions were unenforceable and it was impossible to fit onto the sidewalks! Sadly, the most vulnerable among us paid the price for this.

Comments: Absolutely. It will be better for EVERYONE! Safer. More enjoyable. As a resident, I wholeheartedly ENDORSE ArtWalk and I ENDORSE closing the streets during the artwalk (except, of course, to local traffic going to/from their home).

Comments: i definitely think that street closure for the artwalk is a good idea. with the amount of people and the amount of alcohol consumed it only makes sense.

Comments: Closing the streets will make the Art Walk easier for everyone. The fact that it takes a tragedy to get the streets closed shows lack of planning and initiative by the city. Jon

Comments: I live in downtown Los Angeles, love Art Walk, and want it to be as great as it can be. LA sidewalks can't handle the NYC sized crowds at Art Walk. Close the streets to automobile traffic and let the crowd spread out!

Comments: I live at P.E. Lofts on 6th and Main Street. I am all for closing the streets to all NON- RESIDENT vehicles for ARtwalk. The event already causes enough inconvenience for me getting home after work by clogging up my route home if I am going to be prohibited from DRIVING home on Artwalk nights, I am totally AGAINST this petition.

Comments: I support closing Spring and Main streets to vehicular traffic on Art Walk nights. Sidewalks are too narrow to accommodate the crowds, and the pedestrians will have a more enjoyable experience without the traffic.

Comments: I'm an artist and a downtown resident. Artwalk has lost it's art appeal by attracting so many "partiers" who have no interest in art whatsoever. They are only concerned in the "scene". Then I get to listen to drunk pedestrians carrying on til 3 a.m. on their way out of downtown. I'm completely annoyed!!
