I support the Chicago Park District\'s completion of the artificial turf athletic field in South Lincoln Park for the use of all Chicagoans. The field will provide additional safe and much needed extended-use field surface for children and adult teams and informal pick-up games. I also support the Chicago Park District\'s plans to build additional artificial turf athletic fields in other areas of the city for use by youth soccer groups and others.

My name is Fred Hagedorn and I am a parent and resident in the City of Chicago and believe that this half finished field in South Lincoln Park should be completed and that we should have more of them in the city to further the availability of safe playing surfaces for children and adults in our city. It is multi-use in that it may be used for such a wide range of sports: Soccer, American Football, Tag or Flag Football, Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Ultimate Frisbee; and simply for creative fun.
