Name: Anonymous on Sep 3, 2007Comments: I agree with this statement. I have been an Arsenal supporter for 28 years and am proud of how the club conducts itself. I would lose all hope for football if we were to become the plaything of an individual and were run purely for profit. What makes the Arsenal great is the fact that we are not concerned with winning at any cost - we do things the right way and trust that will bring us success. To lose that morality would be a final nail in the coffin of english football.Flag

Name: Simon Scott-Daniels on Sep 3, 2007Comments: pace Herbert Norris we cant claim to have always stood for high levels of integrity. But football is not just a business its a heart and soul thing. I dont care who owns 90% of the shops i use just that the produce is fit for purpose. I do care that Arsenal is not owned by someone just lookingot make a quick buck or playing fantasy football with real players. If Abramovich left the chavs would fold if he wanted all his money back. That is the risk they have. For the scousers and manure the best way tomake money might be to sell their grounds and relocate to an out of town site and throw up a cheap stadium not the wonder that is the GrooveFlag

Name: Robert Churchman on Sep 3, 2007Comments: We have proved that we can compete without big money. Please note that there are now (and will be more) big money clubs but remember only one can be a winner. Big (and "dirty") money is not the answer. The answer is to do something different like we have done with an Arsene Wenger at the helm of a traditilonally run club. I am proud of the club that my father supported in the Herbert Chapman days. Arsenal Football Club is an institution. Please keep it that way. Don't be tempted to sell your souls and our souls to the Devil (or anyone).Flag

Name: Onyechi Osakwe on Sep 3, 2007Comments: In as much I believe the passion David Dein has for this club is real, I think this can be misplaced if he places too much emphasis on just 'being like the Joneses' for the sake of it. The reason we were given for building the Emirates was for the generation of enough income to compete in the transfer market and now it seems the goal post has again being shifted just because other teams are being bought. This does not gaurantee success at all. The only time it may, is if the other 19 clubs do not generate enough capital to buy anyone to top up their teams. You can only play 11 players at anyone time. If you have good nucleus, team spirit, manager and crowd week in week out, these make for the ingredients of success on and off the pitch. Arsenal in its current form has demonstrated this so far this season. At the end of the day we would like to know on which fence Arsene Wenger is sitting. He holds the key somewhat. Would you not agree with meFlag
