Based upon the recent actions of Democratic Delegate Joseph Morrissey of Henrico,VA. Who was brandishing an AK-47 Assault rifle with his thumb inside the trigger guard on the hosue floor of the Virginia legislature, and as past convicted felon and previously found guilty in 2002 of committing a vicious 1999 assault, was sanctioned for legal misconduct while prosecuting a rape case, spent six months in jail for contempt of a federal court, and saw his law license revoked in 2003 As a previous Felon is it unlawful for him to own, carry, or even posess ANY and all firearms. He is in violation of both Virginia and Federal statutes banning anyone with a history of violent crimes from posessing or brandishing any firearms. Therefore I call upon the law abiding citizens and lawful gun owners of Virginia to demand that Dem. Delegate Joseph Morrisey be indited, arrested, and disbarred from the practice of law in the state of Virginia. Also, that Mr. Morrisey's aquaintence who provided him with such weapon, also be charged in aiding a known violent felony to gain posession of a firearm. The law must be equal for all. If an average citizen of Virginia who was a previously convicted violent felon, he or she would be arrested at once by any lawful police officer. Mr Morrisey is NOT above the law even if he holds a J.D. degree. His right to practice law was revoked previously for his actions. Yet he continues to show our society and our law makers in Richmond he is unfit to perform the duties of his elected office.
