This petition is a request for the ARRL (Amateur Radio Relay League) to set aside one frequency on each of the HF Bands listed below at the "General License" level for to provide for National, or Regional Emergency Radio Communications during any "National Field Day", special event and (or) Contest. That these frequencies will be reserved to facilitate such Emergency communications deemed necessary by National, State, or Local governments. The reserved frequencies be used only during such an event to insure that these frequencies will be restricted for use ONLY by any amateur operators in the affected area, or ARES units to communicate Health & Welfare, or Emergency traffic in the event of any man made or natural disaster occurring within the contiguous 50 U.S States. A) One designated Frequency in the 80 Meter band between 3.800 - 4.000Mhz. LSB B) One designated Frequency in the 400 Meter band between 7.175 - 7.300Mhz. LSB C) One designated Frequency in the 20 Meter band between 14.225 - 14.350Mhz. USB D) One designated Frequency in the 17 Meter band between 18.110 - 18.168Mhz. USB E) One designated Frequency in the 15 Meter band between 21.275 - 21.450Mhz. USB F) One designated Frequency in the 12 Meter band between 24.930 - 24.990Mhz. USB G) One designated Frequency in the 10 Meter band between 28.300 - 29.700Mhz. USB Due to limitations on the 160, 60 meter & 6 meter bands would be exempt from such restrictions. The remainder of the Amateur Spectrum would follow standard practices and policies already approved and in place by The ARRL, ARES and other Emergency authorities. We hereby attach our signatures below in support of this petition to be delivered to the ARRL if and when the signature goal is reached.
