Name: Chris Roth on Jan 26, 2004State: AZCountry: USComments: I am deeply disappointed to see the closure of this track. Tens of thousands of American's enjoy cars, motorcycles and other modes of high speed fun. By closing this track you are forbiding those of us who enjoy the sport to enjoy ourselves. In an era where street racing and reckless driving is a problem among cities you can't close legal venues and expect the problems of illegal street activity not to increase. For the safetly of the public and the rights of those who wish to enjoy automobiles to their fullest extent, please re-open this track.Flag

Name: Brent Kulseth on Jan 26, 2004State: AZCountry: USComments: It is better to have a track to race on than it happen on the streets where people can get hurt or killed. It is not that loud racing there. You can hear the Top fuel Drag cars at firebird over 5 miles away, but they stay open. Doesn't make sence to meFlag

I think it would be a very fair estimate that the area surrounding AMP lost about $50,000 in revenues from the spending that would have occurred at local restaurants, hotels and other establishments.Flag

Name: Bruce Brownlee on Jan 26, 2004State: AZCountry: USComments: If the problem is with getting a firm set of provisions written to get AMP to operate, then do it. I'm sure AMP would comply if they actually had a firm set of rules. It seems a shame to have AMP owners pour all this money into the park, after they get permission, and then closing them down right afterwards. I occasionally participate in NASA and ASRA club events and find it a big loss to the Valley for this park to be closed.Flag

We had planned for over a year to host a National Solo 2 event. Yes, it happened, but at FIR. West Valley's LOSS, Chandler's gain.Flag
