Name: John Vizmeg on Jan 23, 2004State: AZCountry: USComments: I am fairly new to the Phx area, and being able to ride motorcycles all year is one reason I came here. The other reason was a closeby track(AMP). Now there may be one less reason for me to stay.Flag

Name: Andrew Simms on Jan 23, 2004State: AZCountry: USComments: With not to many places for a sportbike rider to go if they want to test the limits of their bike, I fear that in result of the track being closed there will be more careless driving as well as accidents on public roads. We, as sportbike riders, should have a place to go that allows us to compete with others as well as ourselves within a controlled, safe, and legal environment. Thank you Andrew SimmsFlag

Name: Tim Leddy on Jan 23, 2004State: AZCountry: USComments: I fully support this petition and hope that someone will "see the light". I work and play in the same area (Luke AFB) and AMP has afforded me the venue to practice safe motorcycle riding techniques. Keep the roads safe and do not turn your back on the People.Flag

Name: Jay Poteet on Jan 24, 2004State: AZCountry: USComments: AMP is a well-made facility, easily accessible, and a viable venue for West Valley driving/riding events, including trackdays. It is located adjacent to an active FLYING Air Force Base. Sound level issues shouldn't be issues at all. Misrepresentation, be it intentional, or accidental, in the use and attendance of the facility should have the opportunity to be rectified. The community is all up in arms when they see motorcyclists riding fast and 'unsafe' in their view on the open roads. Then don't take away one of the few options remaining to the conscientious riders in our community. Give them, give ME, a place to ride that is safe, and unobtrusive to the average traveler on Arizona's roadways.Flag

Name: Scott Flagg on Jan 24, 2004State: AZCountry: USComments: Reopen AMP. In the long run you are only going to encourage people to ride more agressive on the streets at high speeds causing harm to themselves and others instead of riding like that in a controlled environment.Flag
