Comments: As a member of both the National Trust (via the Royal Oak Society) and the American Rhododendron Society, I have enjoyed visiting Arduiane several times. Arduiane is one of the reasons I maintain my National Trust membership. Please reconsider your proposal to close this beautiful example of what the National Trust means to many garden lovers.

Comments: We are really sad to hear of this threatened closure to Arduaine Garden. Although we have only had a chace to visit Scotland once in our lifetime so far, this garden was top of the list when we did so. We weren't disappointed by what we saw and realised what an important garden it is. We would like to add our 2 names to the petition and ask the National Trust for Scotland to think again, please. There must be a way for it to remain open. Many gardens have started to close, our country will be much the poorer for this. We know that the UK is well known for many gardens encouraging those from home and abroad to visit and enjoy part of our long and traditional heritage. Please stay open Thank you Brian & Marilyn Taylor

Comments: I am a gardener in Kent, and love to see beautiful gardens. If this place is closed it will soon become derelict and overgrown and it would cost more than five times the maintenance cost to restore. This garden in Oban has beautiful landscape views and is worth preserving for future generations. This is penny pinching in the extreme.
