| 653 | Martin Jamieson | This is a lovely garden that I have had the pleasure of visiting several times. Moreover, the NTS has revatively few properties in the west and should seek to retain Arduaine |
| 654 | Barbara Kerr | SAVE THE GARDEN!! |
| 655 | Roland Gonzalez-Attwell | I visited this garden only three years ago, and had a most pleasant stay. My mother (87) was able to walk about due to the terrain being level in many areas.
Please keep this wonderful garden open |

| 661 | John Muir | It would be sad to see such a peaceful place sufferas a result of a closure that would save a small sum of money |

| 663 | Tony Cormack | I feel that the powers that be at the Trust have not been particularly creative in pursuing alternative ways to keep Trust properties open, and they still do not impress me with their proposals to address their funding problems |

I will visit Arduaine with a group on the 26th of October and will tell all passengers to be generous! |
| 669 | Tim & Sheila Barnard | We visited Arduaine a couple of years ago and were very inspired. Some of the new plantings in our own West Highland garden are based on what we saw there. It is a major attraction in the area and one of the reasons we took a holiday there. Closing the gardens would have a knock-on effect on the local economy, as well as ruining the gardens themselves. |

| 671 | Morag Hellen | I am appalled that closure of such a beautiful serene garden could be contemplated. When visiting the area we ALWAYS visit the gardens & would feel cheated if it were no longer open for us to do so. |

| 674 | susan forsyth | i have spent many happy hours at arduaine enjoying the beatiful plants and the setting of the gardens themselves |
| 675 | Jim Watson | We strongly support the campaign to keep these wonderful gardens open and would urge the Trust, of which we are members, to make other administrative and management savings to maintain the properties that are the reason we are members |

| 687 | Anonymous | The gardens are something i look forward to visiting when i visit Melfort village every year and would be sad to see it closed. It is also an important asset to the area. |
| 688 | Anonymous | The gardens are a haven that should be cherished. |

| 691 | Fiona Campbell | My Great Grandfather made this garden and it stands as a monument to what can be created here with determination and loving care. In these days of growing concern about resources, the young are keen to learn all they can about gardening and the National Trust has a unique part to play in being custodians of their education. Gardens take generations to build, this one is too precious to abandon. |
