Name: Marie Jenkins on Feb 6, 2007Comments: My daughter, in middle aga, has finally found the love of her life. I am deeply offended that the Church she was nurtures in and has served faithfully as a lay leader cannot bring itself to provide the same blessing for her relationship that it did for my heterosexual daughter's marriage. The more I see of the behavior of the so-called "orthodox" the more alienated I feel from the Anglican Church.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 6, 2007Comments: In the service of their ordination and consecration, American bishops take on oath to "show compassion to the poor and strangers, and defend those who have no helper." We hope that the Archbishop of Canterbury follows the same obligation of compassion as he considers this petition.Flag

Name: Bruce Garner on Feb 7, 2007Comments: Your Grace, these gatherings are "your" meetings. Perhaps it is time to take a truly Christ-ike leadership role and make it clear that you issue the invitations. You are an "iinclusive" person, but you are allowing yourself to be hijacked by those who would turn the Anglican Communion into an exclusive "club" with an assortment of litmus tests for admission. That's a far cry from both our roots and our long term history.Flag

Name: Brad LaMonte on Feb 7, 2007Comments: There is no mission more important for the Church than to declare without question the welcome and full inclusion of all God's humanity--it is time the Anglican Communion stop this exclusionary war of "who's in and who's out"--its time to declare God's boundless love and His full embrace of all people everywhere.Flag
