Everybody knows Apple inc. This corporation has become one of the leading companies in the technology industry. Apple employs millions of people across the globe and has become one of the largest international companies with customers in all regions of the world. We are all familiar with this brand, however, few of us are aware of the story behind the products. Firstly, we all know that profit is the main goal of all companies. For maximized profits, companies look for ways to lower costs. Apple has opted for poor working conditions, low wages and little environmental consideration. Workers are forced to work 12 hour shifts and 7 days a week without any break. The wages are low with only 1.6% or $8 of every $499 iPad going towards the assembly line workers. Furthermore, health problems are not rare as they are forced to use hazardous chemicals. Even worse, these chemicals are not disposed properly and thus, hurt the environment greatly. We must put a stop to Apple's injustice. They may be a large company but every little action will help. 1) End excessive overtime and provide decent living wages for employees 2) Place management systems to ensure proper, good working conditions for workers. A worker-centered health and safety program should be implemented at factories. 3) Have frequent audits by independent companies to ensure Apple factories follow the environmental laws
