We, the students of Sweet Briar College, feel that the current on-campus dining options that are available to us do not adequately meet the needs or wishes of the student body or the faculty and staff of Sweet Briar College. We petition the college to address our concerns regarding these important issues as soon as possible:

1. The limited variety of choices that are made available to us.

2. The current food's lack of healthiness and the overall quality of the current food and the ingredientsused to prepare the food.

3. The practically non-existent: gluten-free, kosher, vegan and vegetarian options available to the campus community.

4. Cohesive menues (entrées, side dishes, etc. that actually go together — instead of the current hodgepodge of dishes we are served that do not go together).

5. Additionally, the hours of operation are extremely limited, making it difficult for us to get the food and nutrients we need.

• This is especially difficult for athletes, riders, and student workers.

• There are no late dining or snack options available to us aside from fast food or vending machines.

• The limited hours of operation force us into choosing to eat fast food, spend additional money on food we prepare ourselves, or to not eat at all; all of which are completely unacceptable given Sweet Briar College'smandatorymeal plan policy.

6. Lastly, and more importantly, the high cost of our meal plans and Dining Services' lack of accountability regarding where our money is really going.
