TANTRA(cobalt)-"Expand your senses... and close your mind"

To: Kiss 98.5 WKSE Buffalo & Tantra Nightclub

We, the undersigned, are hereby signing this petition in support of a boycott of both KISS 98.5 (WKSE) radio stations and its affiliations as long as TANTRA nightclub (153 Delaware Ave., Buffalo NY).

The reason for boycotting Kiss 98.5 is mainly due in fact that they both play advertisements for Tantra as well as have some of their DJ's play there. Tantra, since opening, has been outright discriminatory against the gay community. Gay people have been kicked out of there and all gay employees that worked there before the re-vamp (the change from cobalt to tantra) were fired. Some were just left messages telling them their services were no longer needed, others kicked out of the club when trying to talk to management, and some told that "now that it's straight, they don't want 'the gays' here."

In a place where the owners/mgmt. always said "moneys, money... no matter who spends it" it is reprehensible that they are treating people this way now that the proverbial "shoe is on the other foot."

Therefore, we the undersigned, will no longer listen to Kiss 98.5 until the "Tantra" ads are removed; nor will we ever patronize the bar itself.

Kiss 98.5 plays constant advertisements and has DJ's that work at Tantra.

Tantra was a gay club called cobalt, now turned straight. When it was a gay club, the owners said that it would be mixed because "money's, money" it shouldn't matter if the clientele or workers are gay or straight.

However, now that it's a straight club, all gay workers were fired being told "their services were no longer needed" - Some were also told that they (owners/mgmt.) simply "didn't want the gays working in the new club."
