Comments: I now live in Canada, but I was born withing walking distance of Portobello market. I am hoping to come and visit this summer. The market is known all over the world. Why would anyone want to close it?

Comments: Portobello's antiques market draws people from all over the world every weekend - we must preserve its character and uniqueness, and the livelihoods of the traders who have made it what it is.

Comments: This is a very good idea. I lived on Portobello Rd for a few years and the amount oif people that came to stay/visit with Antiques on their mind was significant...the Antiques arcade is a slice of culture that should be treasured.

Comments: What happened with the Lipka Arcade is a travesty, and cannot be allowed to happen again with the Good Fairy, or any other site within this wonderfully unique area.

Comments: "all planning developments that involve changes to antiques arcades on Portobello Road are reviewed by elected Councillors." Maybe all planning developments that involve changes affecting any stallholder in the market ought to be reviewed by elected representives? Anyway, keep up the good work. xxx

Comments: We must protect Portobello market - I live in a neighbouring street and use the market every weekend - the tourists come to the market as it is 'the world famous antiques market' - the area would be lost without the antiques and the stall holders whose families have kept the dream alive for hundreds of years.
