Let me emphasize that the task of the State is to maximize the benefits and minimize the costs of overseas employment, did you consider each and every category of professionals when you drafted this memo Yes, we understand that you want to protect the welfare of OFWs but did you look at the positive and negative points, which for a simple reason why most of the OFWs rarely agrees with your policies Why do you think most of the OFWs are questioning this memo, bcoz we OFWs are the affected ones, and since we are the affected ones, so please listen to our petition to abolish this policy. Did you get the pointFlag

Name: Reginald Allan Bagaipo on Jan 28, 2008Comments: It is so sad for those people who tried to uplift their lives. Sacrificing everything for a chance other countries can offer to alleviate their lives which their own country, the Philippines, its government and politicians, could not, would not and do not offer to its own constituents. Just imagine how much would they get for each person that they could charge the employer and how many we are working out of the country. Just calculate the staggering amount they could have their hands on! Whew!!! This is something accountants like to count..no longer by the exact amounts but through heads..leaving all the tails behind. don't bother counting the loose changes!! Who made this ruling is such a nuissance. YOU ARE OF NO HELP TO US! If you want to help us then do something that is relevant to the flight of those unfortunate jobseekers not make a stupid rule and prohibition to those who give jobs to those who seek.!!!!!I am very sure that those who amended this ruling will not let their names be known to the people, but we will know!! Not now, not even later, but somehow, someday we will. Just get ready for it..being a politician and lawmaker always have tenures. And we can always wait for the next election. Your time will come. We will raise our voices against all of you.We won't bother going home..home is just a phone call away. Building a website just to put you down is just a few cents on the web!! You have forgotten that those who went out of the country and made it good have the best brains on hand!Flag

Kulang na kulang na nga sa trabaho ang bansa natin, mababawasan pa tayo ng trabaho sa labas!!! This is such a lousy reason again from the government to get money for themselves. Another obvious way by the government of making OFWs as the front for their personal interest that says something like "CORRUPTION."Flag

I can just imagine the red tape that you have to go through and all the so called "public servants" that you have to bribe in order to accomplish all the requirements. It makes me wonder if where did the common sense go when they wrote this petition. If they are really concerned about the welfare of Filipinos abroad, go after the illegal recruiters and ban bad employers based on their records. Don't generalize the system where good and honest employers will be discouraged and find other places to recruit.Flag
