Comments: I agree. Too many good American citizens have to put up with their bullshit. You could own a car but you're not able to drive it. Even with a perfect driving record, my cost for auto insurance is as much as $2500 a year. Thats just not right! I have college to think about and other bills! Plus if I get into an accident that's not my fault, I might as well just ruin my life cuz my premium would be even higher! We should all stand up to this injustice!

Comments: Mandatory auto insurance laws put too much power in the hands of corporations. These corporations have far too much control over the lives of Citizens. Just say no to auto insurance, it is extortion.

Comments: In my opinion, government mandates that make auto insurance mandatory serve only the insurance companies and violate the U.S. Constitution. It seems to me that if insurance is manditory, then prices should be far lower.

Comments: You are correct. Most jobs people have do not pay them enough to afford auto insurance. This means they can lose their transportation to work or to a hospital if they have a medical emergency.Tennessee was one of the first to mandate this law without allowing it's citizens the chance to vote/choose what they wanted.I hope everyone will sign this petiton.

Comments: Mandatory car insurance is just one more bar in the tyranny prison that most Americans accept as part of their everyday lives. It's completely unconstitutional. It's a partnership between greedy billion dollar insurance companies and corrupt politicians stealing more of our money at gunpoint. It's basically legalized extortion.

Comments: I believe Mandatory Insurance should be enforced. If you are driving down the road and someone runs a red light and hits you. Who is going to pay Well let me tell you who is going to pay, it will be you if the person that hits you does not have insurance. This is a no brainier. Insurance protects those with little or no money. If you do not have insurance and you hit someone, they can sue you for what little you have. The Sheriff will come and seize what property you have and sell it at auction to pay you debits. This includes taking your car, and your home. The judgment will also be posted on your credit history thus ruining your credit. So, if you are willing to take the risk, don

Comments: I have been trying for years to start an Group Opposed To Mandatory Insurance Liability Crap (GOTMILC) Go to www.foodstampstudy.com and see some of the food stamp skyrockets linked to mandatory auto insurance laws and the Billings, MT survey that indicates over the last 20 years, 30,000 Montanans would have listed auto insurance as a reason for food stamps. Also, type the following into the yahoo search engine "The Impact of Mandatory Auto Insurance Upon Low Income Americans" (44% said they could not buy food due to auto insurance.
