Name: Donna Baars on Oct 25, 2009Country: GBComments: I do not believe in hyperflexion for any discipline. It is artificial and in the long run does more harm than good. Stop trying to take short cuts and train horses with more sensitivity and common sense.Flag

Name: Valerie Hebert on Oct 25, 2009Country: USComments: As a person who used to compete at horse trials I can not imagine riding a horse that has had this kind of training. Submission of the horse should be only ONE of the scoring criteria. A correctly moving horse working with the rider is much more beautiful than the current trend of curled up flashy vehicles for the rider.Flag

Name: Heather Moffett on Oct 25, 2009Country: GBComments: If hyperflexion were to be banned outright in the warm up arenas, then it is less likely to be enforced in training at home. If the perpetrators are not allowed to warm up in what would be their usual manner, it could scupper their chances of winning, so there would be less motive to use the method in everyday training. Stand by for some very loud protests too, from those in favour of this abhorrent torture of horses.Flag
