ACTA is a treaty that, if comes into effect, will affect you in more ways than one. If it comes into play, you can say goodbye to the internet. Why? ACTA information is watered down, what is leaked is all we can get our hands on. It was leaked for a reason, obviously someone on the inside thought this treaty was wrong too. This treaty is secretive for a reason, the government doesn't want you to know about it because even they know it is wrong. Here's some facts on the treaty and what will happen if it is passed; It allows them to censor the internet. It allows them to search your iPods and computers randomly without giving a reason. It allows them to confiscate your iPods and computers without giving a reason. It allows them to monitor what you do online. It allows them to block websites deemed "unacceptable", without limit It will ban "Peer to Peer" technology such as uTorrent. It will allow ISPs to PERMANENTLY Ban you from using the internet, without a trial. It will allow arrests based on the content you search. In a nutshell, they're basically taking away your FREEDOM. Our internet will be controlled and monitored, and bent to the will of the rich corporations. So if you care about your internet, and all of the sites you use such as MySpace, FaceBook, and YouTube, you will sign this petition to stop this complete backwards treaty.
