LanaWe are just trying to earn more money, kaya please wag nyo isama ang Singapore for this rule!
melvin molinaWe are far away from our families, don't let this crisis lead to sufferings of OFW's instead protect us, since we are contributors for country's economic growth.
michael gulapaThis memorandum is a clear indication that the government is incapable and incapacitated to promote growth in our country...instead, greedy government officials rely on what they can squeeze in OFWs pockets because they are simply "nonfunctional"!
Janeth Bosbos
Frank Dela Cruz
Christopher OstreaAgainst ako dito... this would definitely decrease my chances of getting hired..
AnonymousThis will certainly discourage foreigners from getting Filipino workers. Hospitals here in Saudi Arabia are now recruiting MORE INDIAN nurses rather than FILIPINOS. Filipino nurses refuse to work here because our dollar exchange rate has decreased thus, the salary offer is now becoming too low. But the expenses incurred by our relatives in the Philippines are still so high! Where is then the improvement in the economy? Bear in mind that Arroyo is an economist and knows how to manipulate the data to show an improved economy! ARROYO, MAAWA KA NAMAN SA MGA PILIPINO!!!! WAG ANG PAMILYA MO LANG ANG INIISIP MO! WE KNOW, YOU'RE HOARDING DOLLARS NOW WHILE ITS SELLING CHEAP THERE!!!
Paul Bernardo
spookylets kill GMA
Vilma CastricionesDi ba pwedeng di US dollar ang basihan ng ating currency, down ang economy ng USA as of today ...

roselynOFW's are trying their best to help the country's economy. The MONTHLY Remittances we are sending helps not only our own family but the other LESS FORTUNATE FILIPINO's and THE Government as well. Now i think it's the TIME PGMA government will HELP & PROTECT OFW's(US!)
And worst, may basbas pa ng gobyerno.

Dapat ihatid nila yong OFW from Manila hangang sa amo.

AnonymousThis is a big burden for us OFW if this $5K will be implemented because there's a possibility that the employer will deduct from our salary. So much so that there are employers who are also deducting placement fees. This is a double burden for us OFW. We are helping the economy and yet you are giving so much burden not just to us but to our families. Filipinos are paying your (government people) salary through tax and yet you are not doing your job well. There are CORRUPTION everywhere. Please wake up!!!!! If you (government people) can not do your job properly RESIGN. There are so many good Filipinos who can carry out that job.

AnonymousThe new policy will not safeguard any filipinos from their employers. It will safeguard corrupt people in power to have more money for more corruption. Abolish this new policy.
IRENE
Diane BerdosUnfair policy
Aldin OseñaWhat benefits and good it will bring to us who are looking for a good job that will provide food to our table. POEA is not providing us job here in our country and when we found one they will still want to have a share on it and also where will this money go . . .
IanKAKAINIS NAMAN KAYONG MGA PAREHONG OFW PURO LANG SALITA WALA NAMANG GINAGAWA SABI NAG E BOYCOTT ANG REMITTANCE E. PAKI SPREAD THE WORD NGA NA E BOYCOTT YAN DAPAT DI YUNG HALA COMMENT LANG PARA MAKITA NGA GOBYERNO NA SERYOSO TAYONG MGA OFW. YAN DAPAT
ElyIt feels like even big companies no longer think twice of not hiring Filipinos from the Philippines... I know headhunters who explicitly said that they are only interested on dealing with Filipinos that are already "outside" of the Philippines... Is this a move by the Government to prevent the "brain drain" in this country? If so, I would say this is a very undemocratic/suppressive approach... there must be other solutions than this... They're indirectly depriving a basic human right...
mercyIT'S UNFAIR!!!
Anonymousthe new policy is unfair to those who wants to earn a living in other country.. how we bring out our family in poverty if we just stay in the phillipines. there's no work for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anonymous
syrilit is really so unfair for us filipino people. the more it will be difficult for us to be given jobs abroad. since, companies abroad will look for other applicants from other countries with that case.
