Rodrigo CarpioThis is unfair to all filipino people who are seeking opportunity outside the country
Hajie CarpioThis is unfair to all filipino people who are seeking opportunity outside the country
Lance SisonThis Memorandum will make it harder for Filipinos to land a job in other countries, if the government is actually trying to help and protect OFWs they should think this over and device another memo. Something more effective and something more helpful for the common Filipino who's trying so hard to make a living in another country.

AnonymousThis thing is the most stupid thing they ever did! Philippine gov't found a stupid way to get into our money.
Anonymousthis is really unfair...

Rose Punfair it is!

Fermin A. Silva Jr.This is not helping the OFW.

AnonymousHOY POEA!!! SANA MA BOMBA NA KAYO DYAN AT PURO PERWISYO LANG GINAGAWA NIYO!!! MANAHIMIK NA LANG KAYO
Rommel HumarangThis is crazy!!!!!!! This will totally hinder job opportunities for us OFW's.. Ang hirap ng buhay sa Pinas... And nagpapakahirap kami dito outside of PH to provide for our family back home.. Bat nyo dinadagdagan pahirap sa amin????
Anonymoustypical crab-mentality of filipinos... imbis na tulungan umunlad, sila mismo naghihilahan pababa tsk tsk tsk...
AnonymousThis is a stupid move from the government. They can impose stricter hiring policy w/out involving money. This move only confirms the toughts of many that people in the government are so hard up on money that they had to resort to something like this to find ways to beef up their pockets. Where will the money go, who will account for this huge amount you're imposing on employers? There are so many questions you need to clear with the OFWs first and the people looking for a better job as a whole, before you could just simply impose this law to us.
Phenie CuaderaI totally disagree with this memorandum, I support this petition, Mabuhay ang mga OFW
Anonymousthe reason why some professionals decided to leave the country and work abroad is to give a better life for their families... please don't take away our right to have a better life by doing such a stupid policy...
Jake AnguloIncident & Problem Manager C&W - Singapore Mr Secretary: Pls THINK AND CONSULT before signing any encompassing laws! Your actions will push us to apply for citizenship in other countries - and never look back at the Phils. Just because of stupid actions by stupid officials.
Liz1.Bkit kelangan may bayaran per contract? Buti sana kung d mabigat ang amount? Refundable ba ito at the end of contract or mapupunta lang sa bulsa ng kung sino? 2. Kelangan pang iverify ng POEA ang contract? So ibig sabihin nito ang tatagal ang proseso ng hiring which is not good for the pinoy applicant.
King Ramon III VitugI think this memorandum is very unfair and useless, thus it decreases the chances of our kabayan to find a decent job in abroad.
Arlene de CastroAllow us to have a good life.
John Romano RafolThis move will introduce more problems than solutions. Already, it is now pushing me to seriously consider changing citizenship to the host country Im working as I dont find any value anymore of being a Filipino. It becomes a burden to be having this citizenship due to the Philippine government making it hard for us to make a living.
Warrenthis is unfair!... mga loko kayong asa POEA!
SANTI DEHAYCO BLANDOThis is again another stupid decision of the government. Last Year 2007, the OFW's earned the largest amount of OFW remittances, now they are trying to negate it because of this.

Jeanet Soriano RealThis is not a very good policy. It restricts rather than uplift the progress of the poor and benefits only those who are in position.

Melvin VivasI believe this memorandum needs to be refined. Yes, there is a benefit for OFWs who are domestic workers. However, for other industries, this memorandum might not be helpful. The government should look into this again.
GlenMahigit 10Bil US$ ang remittance galing sa mga filpinos abroad taon taon "Remittances to the Philippines averaged about 20% of its export earnings and contributed more than 7% to GNP".
Maria Cecilia SanchezThis memorandum will just make life harder for Filipinos who rely on overseas employment to survive

AnonymousBy implementing such memorandum, no employer would want to go into the trouble just to hire Filipino skilled workers therefore chances of being employed abroad will be very slim. Do you think people will look for opportunities abroad if there are within the country? Do you think we will sacrifice to be far from our families if we have a choice? Please don't use the people that wants to have a better life by working abroad not only for themselves but for their family. WE don’t want our children to be deprived with the good things in life just because of a corrupt and unfair government that Philippines have.
Dave Coching
Anonymousim against this policy since this will effectively lessen the chances to get hired for work abroad, especially for those families that have no choice but to go abroad.
Dennis MocorroTo The Government: Could you just think of ways on how to create jobs locally so that we would not leave the country?!?!?!
