Crown Lane SW16 and Beulah Hill sit within the Conservation Area of Norwood Grove. A Lidl supermarket is proposed in the confluence of Beulah hill and Crown Lane. There is already a Tesco Express just opposite the proposed Lidl site in a non-conservation area. Next to it is a Building company called GNK builders. Both off load and load at peak hours creating a monstrous traffic every day on Crown Lane. There are plenty of other small grocers in Crown Point and most have their entire families working there and living closeby. The Lidl will kill their livelihoods. There are already Kebab and fast food shops for local school children as there are 4 schools all within walking distance of Crown Point. Lidl does not propose and fresh food just cheap crisps etc. as if we do not have an obesity crisis as it is. There are also two bus stops on Beulah Hill going down to Knights hill both within a 3 minute walk as such CROWN POINT IS VERY CONGESTED as it is!!! WE do not need LIDL BECAUSE OF CONSERVATION< INCREASE IN TRAFFIC, LOSS TO LOCAL JOBS, UNHEALTHY FOOD and a total non-enhancement of our local environment affecting our homes and estates.
