Stop Gun Madness! On December 31, 2013 Please show your support by displaying a red ribbon in remembrance of all the victims of senseless gun violence in our country. Why are there more guns in the hands of more people and more deaths in the US than most of the Countries in the civilized world combined? The NRA would say it's the right to own these weapons. However, the 2nd Amendment was written at a time when the British were a constant threat to the population and at a time when the only small arms were single shot muskets and pistols. The NRA has used this as a crutch to justify murder and mayhem from weapons never dreamed of by the Founders and who would have never permitted such a danger to society to exist.

Guns should be used for protection and sport only, but no one needs a 100 round clip to stop a home invasion! It's time for the citizens of the United States to band together to get gun privileges under control in our country. It seems not a week goes by and there isn't yet another mass shooting. This gun madness is infringing on our constitutional right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Frankly I'm scared of and for my fellow Americans - I don't know which one of them is carrying and trigger happy these days - I take it for granted it's most of them. This is having a real affect on our countries quality of life and I suspect this feeling is more general - that there are a lot of Americans who feel like I do. So Please, for the sake of of those who continue to die senselessly, let your voice be heard!
