Name: Andrew on Jan 11, 2007Comments: Congress has a Constitutional duty to stop the prosecution of this illegal war and occupation. The President has ignored all advice from those who understand the situation (which he is pathologically incapable of doing), and he should be relieved of all duties as Commander in Chief.Flag

Name: Kenneth Betts on Jan 11, 2007Comments: Not only do I believe we should withdraw our troops from Iraq, but I steadfastly believe there MUST be an inquiry as to how we were mislead to go to Iraq to start with . While we will still have the daunting task of rebuilding Iraq's infrastructure and finishing the job we started in Afganistan, where Al'qeada still is, we can chew gum and walk at the same time. It is time to do set the record straight and let the American people know that the Democrats are going to take responibility and find out how this travisty came about, and punish those responsible . Otherwise, with no penalties, it will happen again and again. That is not acceptable . I truly belive we have this one time to set the record straight in the eyes of the world so that we might regain some respect . The American People have sacrificed much and paid dearly for that respect we have lost. It is time to show the world we can govern ourselves to the standards we expect of others. If the Democratic Party can't do this, I fear it will fragment into multiple parties and lose the ability to have a say in the future .Flag

Name: Robert Loney on Jan 11, 2007Comments: Sending more troops into Iraq will not solve the problem. It didn't solve the problem in Viet Nam and it won't solve the mess Bush has gotten us into in Iraq. Our troops should not be placed between opposing sides in a civil war. The only solution is a political one that must be accomplished by the Iraqis themselves.Flag

The "Civil War" cannot be won with more troops on the ground. We must look to the neigboring countries to help bring "STABILITY" to the region instead of looking for a US "VICTORY"Flag
