Name: Jeannette Burmeister on Dec 28, 2012Comments: I am pleading with the FDA to approve Ampligen. The desperation among patients is grave. We just cannot wait any longer. This is a chance for the FDA to re-gain some of its lost credibility among patients. There is only right decision here and that is approval.Flag

Name: Heidi Hayward on Dec 28, 2012Comments: Patients are currently left with no treatment whatsoever. The FDA was incorrect to include symptoms such as low grade fever, nausea, and swollen lymph nodes as potential side effects of Ampligen. If you are concerned about those, then approve the drug that could help us overcome them. They are symptoms of the disease, NOT side effects! I have those symptoms every day as part of my illness. We're not just tired. These flu-like symptoms are the norm for us, and you should know that!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Dec 28, 2012Comments: I have NON HIV AIDS, as do millions of CFIDS & ME sufferers. And, while I do not realistically believe that a government that MINDFULLY belittles and neglects CFIDS & ME patients (i.e., broadcasting to the world that we are a bunch of psycho-lazya$ses, who just need therapy and more exercise) will ever help treat us. I support any initiative to lobby against their wrongdoing, giving sufferers at least one treatment option.Flag

Name: Helen Uhrman on Dec 28, 2012Comments: Medical doctors are responsible professionals that can follow guidelines as to prescribing and administering Ampligen to appropriate patients. Further, I believe it is easier to monitor and collect data from patients receiving IV drugs just for the simple fact that they must come into the medical facility for each and every dose. I must admit that Alaine Perry's words, courage and strength resonated with me. Make your decision with reason, and remember why you made public health your career, and you will approve Ampligen. To not do so would cause harm to patients. The productive years of patients who have been fortunate to continue on with Ampligen outweigh the statisticians' desire for more trial data prior to approval. Indeed, it would be cruel to subject patients to a placebo with what we know already from so many years of Ampligen use. Emerson said that if you help one person breathe easier, you are a success. Hippocrates said the first consideration is to do no harm to the patient. Make your decision with good conscious.Flag

Name: Carla Rumori on Dec 28, 2012Comments: My name is Carla Rumori I have had CFS for more than 8 years. Before I became ill I had a life that was absolutely normal as a mother of 2 sons with in a lovely family. My life since having CFS has been destroyed, I'm now in a very bad condition . We need treatment. We deserve treatment and the ability to access it. Just like AZT for AIDS or Tysabri for MS or Benlystra for Lupus. We are not second class patients. According to CDC studies, CFS is comparable to MS, late-stage AIDS, Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, heart disease, end-stage renal disease, COPD and the effects of Chemotherapy. CFS/ME effects every moment of my life. We have seen and heard of patients doing well on Ampligen. Give this community Hope by approving Ampligen. We want our lives back. Thank you, Carla RumoriFlag
