Faye is the type of person who is the “glue” to anything she touches. She holds together her family, friends, church, organizations, former students, and basically anything/anyone that she comes into contact with. She works quietly behind the scenes and shies away from accolades and recognition. Think about the “best” person you know or have known; I’m sure Faye shares much in common with them. She is always content with what she has, never envious of others. Although she is associated with charitable institutions, she doesn’t have to be part of an institution to give. She avoids gossips. She’s truthful and trustworthy. When people have no one else to turn to for help or assistance, she can be counted on. Many consider her their best friend. While no human perfect, she is as close to it as I have come across. Faye was formally diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on April 19, 2009 after experiencing pain, nausea, and aches since January. Her cancer is nonresectable (inoperable). If you follow any of the links below you will learn about the poor survival rate for this type of cancer. My family has gotten hundreds of offers of help from others and has been unable to provide most with a constructive way to help. On April 26th, her pastor, Virgil Marshall, suggested that if a million dollars could heal Faye, the small congregation would find a way to come up with the money. However, money wouldn’t heal her but they could offer a million prayers. This is the inspiration for this petition. Praying for Faye is one way to be of assistance (1). Faye has always loved others regardless of their beliefs, socioeconomic status, race, etc. She would be disappointed if there were not an opportunity for all to be uplifted. Faye is always more concerned about others rather than herself. Another way to be of assistance is to learn about pancreatic cancer risks and symptoms at one of the sites in the links section (2). Please be sure to visit the last link about the relationship between pancreatic cancer and grilling. The last way to be of assistance is to be of service to others (3). Faye’s physical body is preventing her from doing many of the things she was previously able to do. Please honor Faye by helping someone accomplish or obtain something that they could not with their means alone, visiting the sick and forgotten, or being of service in some other manner. Please sign this petition with your words of encouragement and information on your acts of kindness. Thanks for visiting this petition and please forward the petition link to others.
