   Comments: It makes so much more since for our society today to elect the president by popular vote. The electoral college was devised when people had no or very little acces to current events and were generally uneducated about what was going on in our country. That is not the situation in America today. People can get on the minute news stories and know everything about presidential candidates. We are perfectly capable of choosing the right one! The electoral college is an old idea and needs to be scrapped!!
