I can also support the comments from Yvonne Cahill. This area also has an enlargeing rural community and it has very heavy traffic problems. It would be so easy to have cover stationed at local hospitals. Come on management take your head out the clouds.
I live in Solihull and am shocked to hear that my nearest ambulance station is now in Erdington. Anyone who knows Birmingham and it's surrounding area will be aware of the traffic congestion that occurs on a daily basis. It is madness to think that an ambulance would have to cross city in inevitable traffic jams to reach a serious ill patient. especially as I have 2 local hospitals within easy reach. I do not feel confident, now, that if I were to need ambulance transportation to hospital in an emergency that an ambulance would reach me in adequate time. Please re-think this ludicrous decision.
