Respective copyright holders do not have a say in how their book’s titles are listed on Amazon.co.uk. The catalogue department has been practicing arbitrary and discriminatory practices in regard to the titles they list in partial and full form (titles and subtitles). The Amazon.co.uk department says, "We only accept titles and subtitles that are shown on the cover." I sent them other examples in their system of books they list in full that do not follow this "made up cover” rule. This discriminatory practice must be stopped and Amazon.co.uk should listen to authors, publishers (copyright holders) and come to an agreement that the title (and subtitle) should be displayed in full if requested by the copyright holder (in that requested updates can be proven to be a part of the actual and full title as printed on or inside the actual book) as other Amazons do worldwide. Please sign this petition to let Amazon.co.uk understand that they exist because of we authors and that we should have a say on how OUR products are listed on their system.
