Name: Rachel Celli on Dec 11, 2012Comments: I work in the Rivers Bend complex and I live in Chester near the Wal-Mart... I travel Route 10 every day and what use to be a 15-20 minute commute at most has turned into a 45+minute commute with several accidents to and from and dangerous driving situations. I moved from Richmond to avoid traffic like this, and I feel I might as well be back in the city with the commute I have now.Flag

Name: Julie Smart Koob on Dec 11, 2012Comments: As a resident of River's Bend, I am extremely concerned with the increased traffic in the area. I have been in contact with several people at both the County and VDOT. They have all been very informative and understanding of the situation in which the residents of this area have been placed. However, they have also made sure that I understood "Rome wasn't built in a day." And I am. There will be no quick road fix to solve this problem. I am very hopeful that after the seasonal employees are no longer on the job, the excessive traffic will be somewhat relieved. In the meantime, if those that use River's Bend Boulevard to access Amazon would please obey the speed limit and be courteous drivers who are respectful of other drivers and pedestrians alike, I think that would be helpful. Amazon, if indeed you read this petition and the ensuing comments, please pass them along to your employees that utilize the local roads. Hopefully, we can all be good neighbors!Flag

Name: Mike Kennedy on Dec 11, 2012Comments: Either Amazon or local police need to step up some traffic enforcement. It has become dangerous driving through the RB neighborhood. Employees rushing off work and speeding and taking shortcuts are making this a very dangerous place to drive and both corporate and government officials need to take actions to control before accidents cause more injuries.Flag
