A lot of Xena-fans were dissapointed when the show ended, back in 2001. No doubt "A Friend In Need" was a very nice standalone feature film, but for many fans, it didn't had the effect they were all hoping for, being a series finale. The biggest issues being : - It Took Xena & Gabrielle away from Greece - No other regular appearances (Ares, Aphrodite,...) - Xena dies - Gabrielle has to go on without Xena alone. Getting a Xena movie seems to be an impossible task, so at least give us an alternate version of AFIN, give us a fitting ending. A reasonable demand would be : - Shoot some new scenes (Take Xena at least back to Greece, and let the story have it's finale there, with a build-up including some kind of coming together) - Use some unseen Ares footage, add it to the story so the series ends with a nice tribute to Kevin Smith. -Add the newly shot scenes to the ones that were originally shot, to create an alternate ending, but still maintaining the "AFIN story" (example : 60% orig-40% new).
