May is ALS Awareness month in the United States and the annual ALS Advocacy and Public Policy Conference is scheduled for May 8th through 10th in Washington, D.C. On Tuesday, May 10th ALS Advocates will be meeting with Members of Congress and will be given an opportunity to share their stories. Advocacy raises awareness. Awareness is the first step in obtaining support to ensure that the fight against ALS gains momentum.
