Comments: Everybody agrees that a full time armed police officer in every classroom would help solve this problem. Why not an licensed, trained, armed citizen, or teacher.??

Comments: This would not stop all school murders, but it would stop mass murders. We must take every possible precaution to make sure this never happens again to the most vulnerable and innocent members of our society.

Comments: If we can trust our police officers with guns then I would like the same extensive background check for our teachers and teach them how to defend OUR CHILDREN!!! Banning guns will leave the bad guys who do these shootings in the first place with their guns which would make it like shooting fish in a barrel... If a school said they were heavily armed I can pretty much guarantee the shooter will not GO ON THAT CAMPUS!!! Please pull your head out of your asses and stop looking through these rose colored glasses and realize th

Comments: we trust these people with the lives of children. allow them with the means to defend those lives. provide them with training by police officials and allow them to carry and senseless tragedies like the one that happend dec. 14, 2012 would become a thing of the past. these people target no carry areas because they are easy targets. when was the last time you heard of a mass police station shooting? arm our teachers... because criminals dont obey no gun laws.

Comments: We have guns at home to defend ourselves, yet we don't allow school staff to have guns to defend our children. What kind of logic is that? Would anybody think posting a sign of "gun free home" in the front yard will make him safer? I was told many people support the idea of "gun free zone", why haven't I EVER seen such a sign in front of anybody's home? You may have different opinions on the issue, but please be consistent and practice what you say! Let's stop being idiots, for the sake of our kids.

Comments: It is a widely publicized fact that schools are a no carry zone. That widely publicizes the people inside as hopeless defenseless victims for the taking. Holmes chose not the theater closest to his home nor the largest out of 7 in area playing the Batman movie-he chose the only one publicized as "gun free" meaning no return fire. It will matter not if anyone carries in a school at which the ban is lifted. It matters that the criminal will not know if anyone can do him harm and thwart his intended evil.
