Family lose school entry case - Feb. 2012 (The Irish Times 3-2-12)

Our case is similar to the aforementioned case that was brought before the High Court in February of this year.  Unfortunately, the High Court found no discrimination against Travellers to take place the school, where their admission's policy gave priority to children of past pupils.  Mr. Justice Patrick McCarthy found that the discrimination was not suffered by Travellers in particular, as others were in the same position. Thus we want your support to draw the public's attention to the out-dated admission policies in second-level schools nationwide.  This petition has been drawn up to help, support and encourage young Travellers to sit their Junior and Leaving Certificate.
