Name: Damian O'Hara on Dec 24, 2009Comments: I quit smoking using Allen Carr's Easyway method in 2001, going from miserable chain smoker to happy non-smoker in five hours. It's ironic that this simple, drug-free method is not endorsed by NICE or the NHS because it is simple and drug-free!Flag

Name: Robin Hayley on Jan 28, 2010Comments: Given that Allen Carr's Easyway is used by the Scottish Parliament and by NHS staff as well as by major health insurance companies, why is it not available to the general public on the NHS when the cost to the taxpayer is lower than the NHS stop-smoking clinics and the success rate is higher?Flag

Name: David Bishop on Jan 28, 2010Comments: I went from smoking more than 30 a day to zip after reading the EasyWay book. This was after 10 years of smoking and with no need for the various patches that the NHS were so keen to offer me when they found out I was trying to quit. Why the Goverment are not doing this already after so much proven success by those using EasyWay is beyond me and a further sign of their incompetance.Flag

Name: Ben Sears on Jan 28, 2010Comments: After several unsuccessful attempts using NRT etc., I couldn't believe the power of his book and the necessary change in attitude towards nicotine addiction it gave me. As a non-smoker of 2 years now, I cannot recommend Allan Carr's methods highly enough and see it as the only way to successfully free oneself from the torment of being a smoker.Flag

Name: Sue Aspinall on Jan 28, 2010Comments: After many atempts to stop I was cured after reading the book Allen Carr's Easyway to stop smoking and know many others who have. It was EASY and I am so happy that I don't need to smoke anymore. I'd also recommend the method used for other addictions as my daughter stopped drinking after I bought the Easy way to Control Alcohol. I haven't smoked for 2 and a half years. Luckily we are a family of readers so I think the NHS should support all the Allen Carr methods as I know my mum would not be able to read the book. So much better than replacement therapy I tried gum and grew to like it. i have a friend who became addicted to nicorette and kept it in his mouth24 hours a day- that's got to be badFlag

I read the easyway book once in one day and have not smoked or craved a smoke since and I know I will never smoke again. As an ex smoker it is the only method I would recomend!Flag
