Mental health advocates asked Brian Lindstrom to make Alien Boy because we knew in 2006 there would be no justice at City Hall or in the County Commission, or in criminal or civil courts. We knew there would be no changes in public health policy or procedure which would protect someone like Jim. We knew the police officers would never be held accountable.

Art and artists can answer intractable political problems. Using art and artists we fought in the court of public opinion. When you see the film you'll know whether we won or not.

Brian interviewed over seventy people for the film and collected parts and pieces of the story from another thirty sources. Over 1400 people made in kind or financial contributions to the film – most under $10. Brian and producer Andrew Saunderson spent over 10,000 hours making Alien Boy.

But making the film is just the start. Now people have to see it. Here's how you can help.
