I am not necessarily Democrat, but am very ready for a change. I am trusting that Al Gore is the change that we need at this divisional time in our history so that we can be sure we will provide a "history" for our children and grandchildren. Go Gore!! |

I'm begging for you to save the world. I'm begging for women and displaced globalists who cannot call themselves Americans these days. I'm begging for the life of my autistic son and what may lay ahead...an education that he deserves or a body bag that he doesn't. Stop the war. Stop the insanity that we are forced to swallow every day. You are the ONLY one that can do this. You are the ONLY true statesman and peacemaker that can turn us around. From the core of my being, I am crying because I want you to take your rightful place in the House that was always yours. |

The truth is suddenly so plain to see that we the people need your intellect and insight into whats becoming an irrecoverable

Please run for president in 08, I will give you all the support you need and will recruit others to do the same. Together we can change things. | 4492 | Anne | Pitman | WA | Now, and for the rest of our lives, we Americans need to revise our priorities to become better stewarts of the earth. As a nation, we need a new focus and immediate direction. You are THE man. |

| 4494 | Noelle | Gilebrt | CA | |
| 4495 | Richard | Shadrach | VA | |
| 4496 | Melanie | White | NJ | The United States of America needs a President with vision. Someone who thinks of what’s best for the country and the country’s future. Someone who knows chasing oil all over the world to provide the U.S. energy is dangerous and irresponsible. Someone who wants the U.S. to make its own energy from wind, solar, water and green electricity, all of which are renewable. Someone who knows these are energy sources we don’t need to fight in a war over or give money to countries that give money to terrorist groups. Someone who knows these new industries will boost our economy.
We need a President that fights terrorism by stopping the U.S from funding it. Someone who knows the money we give foreign governments for their oil then in turn give money to terrorist groups. Someone who won’t give money to countries where the 911 terrorists came from (like Saudi Arabia). Someone who doesn’t want to have our ports run by a country where 911 terrorists came from. Bush and his administration wanted the United Emirates to run our ports, even though some of the 911 terrorists came from there. So much for not doing business with anyone who supports terrorists, harbors terrorists or has anything to do with terrorists. And, whatever happened to Bin Laden? The Bush administration stopped looking for him in 2005.
We need a President who will give hefty tax incentives to buy hybrid or ethanol cars. Someone who will significantly increase CAFE standards and lean on the auto industry to make more hybrid and ethanol cars and a lot less of the regular cars. Someone who’s income and his friends’ incomes don’t rely on keeping our addiction to oil - like Bush and his cronies. Someone who knows that alternative renewable energy sources will expand and create new industries in corn farms, dry grass farms, wind farms, solar industry, ethanol plants, green electricity plants, etc.
We need a President who understands global warming and the catastrophic outcome of it if nothing is done about it very soon. Someone who understands that the increase in population and industry has increased CO2 emissions that have created a more intense greenhouse effect in our atmosphere, which traps in more heat. We need someone who understands that this increase in heat has been melting our ice caps and other ice around the world. And that as this ice melts, the sea level rises, which means our coastal lands could be under water in 50 to 100 years. We need someone to promote the above renewable energy sources so we can cut down on C02 emissions.
We need a President that doesn’t think war will solve all the problems. Instead, think of diplomacy first. Someone who won’t violate the Geneva Convention and condone torture. Bush condoned torture at the POW camps holding Iraqis, and threatened to veto the non-torture bill that was eventually passed. We need a President who if he considers war, thinks through all the other options and comes up with thorough plans keeping in consideration the cultures of the peoples involved. Bush and his administration went into Iraq without exhausting all other options, didn’t get coalition forces other than Britain, didn’t send in enough troops in the beginning, didn’t secure the weapons from the Iraqi army who became the insurgence and used those weapons to kill our men, didn’t have a Plan B when the Iraqi people weren’t grateful that Sadam was out of power and we were there to occupy their country for awhile, and they didn’t have enough armor and other equipment for their own men. Civilians bought and collected bullet-proof vests, armor and scrap metal and mailed them to their loved ones fighting in Iraq because the U.S. government wasn’t supplying them. A lot of men have been killed or wounded because they didn’t have the right equipment. Our own soldiers search through land fills in Iraq to find the things they need. Bush and his administration simply did not have a well thought out plan to put into place after they captured Sadam. And not getting other countries on board for a much larger coalition has cost us billions and billions of dollars, thousands of Americans and British dead and wounded, and we’re hated all over the world even more now which has increased the terrorists hatred for us and increased the numbers of terrorists who want to fight us. We went from being known as a peace-making country to a bunch of war mongers.
We need a President who during a war between a democracy Israel and the Hezballah in a democracy Lebanon, doesn’t supply weapons to Israel to annhialate the Hezballah because it annhialates Lebanon, too. Lebanon is a democracy. Isn’t that what we’re fighting FOR in Iraq? The Hezballah need to be stopped and their militia dismantled. Couldn’t anyone think of another way than destroying a democratic country?
We need a President who knows foreign affairs, like Al Gore. He’s been in the White House for 8 years. That’s 8 more years of foreign affairs experience than Bush had. We need a President who doesn’t have cronies like Chaney who outted a CIA agent who was working undercover on nuclear weapons in Iran. Blowing her cover meant blowing the cover of everyone else working with her in this operation. As a result, it has sped up Iran’s making of nuclear weapons and decreased our ability to know details about it. Again, doing the opposite of what we’re trying to do in Iraq - stop non-democratic countries from having nuclear weapons.
We need a President who respects the Judicial branch of government, and not think they’re above the law. Someone who won’t break the law by bypassing a judge’s approval to wire tap the nation. Which is what Bush and his administration did.
We need a President who wants to help the poor, not squash them. Someone who doesn’t give tax cuts to multimillionaires and mega rich companies (like the energy bill did in 2005 which gave money to oil companies who are making record profits). We need someone who wants to raise the minimum wage and commend hard-working poor people. Someone who knows that raising the minimum wage actually helps an economy grow. Bush and the Republican Congress cut student loans and cut medicaid, but gave tax cuts to the rich. It isn’t logical. Since President Bush took office, 5.4 million more people, including 1.4 million children, have found themselves living in poverty. Poverty decreased under Clinton and Gore. When Clinton and Gore raised the minimum wage twice, it improved the economy and the poor, middle class, and the rich all benefited.
We need someone who is fiscally responsible and doesn’t increase our debt from 5.7 trillion to 8.5 trillion in 5 years. Who instead wants to decrease it. Al Gore has a proven record with Clinton - they decreased the national debt by over 300 billion dollars. Bush inherited a surplus and squandered it. And then, Bush increased the debt to 1.65 billion dollars a day to add up to a whopping 8.5 trillion dollars and counting.
We need a President who will attend to pressing life threatening issues immediately, and not put them off because he’s on vacation. We need someone who will listen to experts when they said the levees could break in New Orleans because the Hurricane might reach a category 5. Bush not only new that the levees could break, but he also lied about it. That is, until the video tape was played on the news showing Bush in a meeting with hurrican experts and FEMA a few days before Katrina hit, that showed the experts telling Bush that the levees could break. Over 1,000 people died - in America. We need a President who is honest, will take action and evacuate a city and help by providing buses for the poor people who can’t get out.
We need someone who will listen to the terrorist experts working in the White House who give warnings to the President that an attack is imminent. Bush was warned a month before the 911 attacks and did nothing! Clinton and Gore followed AlQueda very carefully, and Clinton warned Bush in his debriefing that they are to be watched and taken seriously. We need someone who will act with courage, power AND responsibility and humility.
We need Al Gore for President in 2008! Just think of what the world and the U.S. would be like today if Al Gore had won in 2000.
