My husband and I are confident that you did indeed win and have been very disturbed ever since all of this happened. I thank you for your time with Global Warming and have watched An Inconvienent Truth. I feel that the election in 2000 was similiar to the name of your movie. I had no doubts that foul play was at hand and I have never shed tears over an election. I have always been leary of politicians as most people I know but when the 2000 election took place it broke my heart. Now 8 years later I have a 4 year old daughter and I pray that she has a chance to see someone like you and preferably it would be you as the President of the United States. My family and extended family still discuss the horror of the 2000 election. I live in Florida and at the time we lived in Broward County and voted for you and no matter the foul play WE ALL KNOW WHO REALLY WON. I hope after the 8 years of this presidency and the nominees that we have now that you will run again. This country became a scary place for me after the 2000 election. Should you choose not to run for president I understand and this must have been devasting for you and your family however I wanted to let you know we have always believed you won and had many ideas of what took place in "secret". We wanted to write you long ago but I felt it may hurt more and was not even sure about this letter however after seeing the movie RECOUNT on HBO I could not help but write to you. We need Al now more than ever the candidates we have now are not for the people. They run their big money campaigns and then comes payback time once they get into office. A write in campaign doesnt need money it just needs volunteers, hard work, and faith. We will prevail at the grassroots level if we all pull together and form what Amy Goodman of Democracy Now calls kitchen table politics no secrets, everyone participates and everyone has a voice, no one is turned away and no problem is too small.This is our only hope for the return of the country to its people. My Father in law did not die in action in Korea for a bunch of war mongering,greed taking chicken hawks to take away our individual freedoms or our rights or our Government. He was fighting to preserve those things I know and now I want to help fight for those things we hold so dear as citizens of the United States.I want to bring honor and integrity back to this country,as Al did by winning the Nobel Peace Award that is a tremendous accomplishment and worthy of his integrity hard work and dedication. He gave us eight years but we need him again. I have three grandchildren I want to leave them a world full of Love and Peace not War. As Jesus said, Blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called the children of God. I believe in seperation of church and state but that doesnt mean I cant Believe in Jesus to guide me.
