| 1953 | James | Ingram | NC | Please run Al! |
| 1954 | Brooks | Harrison | TX | |
| 1955 | Devlin | Tricamo-Palmer | OR | |
| 1956 | Mary | Maxon-Alley | VT | Please take your rightful position as the leader of the United States of America (while the US still exisits) |
| 1957 | Elisabeth | Sommer | FL | You are what the world needs as the president of the US--a person with integrity, personal strength, intelligence, perceptiveness, respectfulness and class. Please run. I'll even work for your campaign for free. |
| 1958 | Jean | Willard | TX | We need a president that cares about the environment to find and support alternative fuels that will benefit the American people and the world and not just waging war and taking great care of the rich in doing so. We need a president that still believes in the constitution and the first admendment and realizes that there are 3 branches of government and will not abuse that power.
We want our America back that our fore-fathers set down. It is sickening to see America get more and more like the Soviet Union with it's empiralism and no human rights. We need a health system for all Americans and not just the few and to spend tax money productively and not to make the rich richer.
I hope that is you Mr. Gore. This American wants the America back before we had the Bushites and the Cheneys anywhere near the Capitol destroying the American way. |
| 1959 | Celso | Ruiz | TX | I think that you are the BEST choice for President from the field of prospective candidates! |
| 1960 | Angela | Zeleny | CA | I still dare to dream that we could be fortunate enough to have you run again. I've held this aspiration since first seeing you on a Television apearance in 1986 when I graduated High School and became eligible to vote for the first time. Due to my rising concerns in politics and the nature of US affairs in the post Reagan years, I have followed your career, speeches and transcripts al through college, the Clinton Administration, and your 2000 Presidential candidacy to present day. You, and perhaps potential running mates like Russ Feingold and Barak Obama, are the only individuals whom I would support in the Presidential elections of 2008. Other choices leave us feeling rather flat or compromised and looking to an independent choice - or perhaps leaving the Democratic party to find our values actualized in elsewhere.
My entire household shares hope and a commitment to be deserving of your leadership in the coming years.
Best Regards,
Angela

| 1973 | Robert | Williamson | CA | Mr. Vice President: Our country (and the entire world, for that matter) is in desperate need of seasoned, mature, thoughtful, forward-looking, caring and committed leadership. You, sir, are the one individual uniquely qualified to lead our economically, spiritually and morally broken nation at this critical time in its history. With every fiber of my being, I implore you to run for the office of president. |
| 1974 | Richard | Bigg Sr. | PA | If the Republicans hadn't stollen the election of 2000 we would not be in the mess we are in now. Don't let them do it again!! |
| 1975 | Sasha | Dix | MO | Open Letter to America
Now, we stand in shadows cast by the mendacious greats, the murderous few.
We, told to fear the fear of fear, the dark itselves, eachother and ourselves, to support the troops, and stay the course.
Told, if you are not with us then you are against us, your sences are biased, and if you believe your lieing eyes then you'll be disappeared.
Told, trade your lives for images of security, trade your judgement for patriotism, give up and give in because the killers say they'll watch your kids for you.
Nero, an anti-christian horror, burned my birth place to crucify christ's kin. Caligula killed anyone displeased by the madness of his divine sins,
and Hitler, their Hitler, a Reichtag for a Reich, American eugenics, and a gang.
Trio o' murder'o you know they've got a fourth, though. Twin Towers burned by Bush. Trade your citizens for war, trade your citizens for war to be the abonimible. 9/11 was so self inflicted IT IS STILL KILLING US.
PNAC will steal the peace piece by piece, and Neo-Con you it is for your securities. Wars waged and powers gauged by death tolls, denied roles, and bald lies. Cheney you deserve no escape you pilferous murdering nazi. No corner of the globe, no country, no island, no city, no undisclosed location will hide you and your scicophants from wanted posters with your names and ugly mugs in terror squares. Who's most wanted now?!?
The Infowar is on. |
| 1976 | Keith | Wolf | WA | If only Ken Lay had lived we'd have been given the opportunity to "see" how corporate greed and the Bush Administration sought, seeks and will rip us all off, even, and especially when we're too old to give them the head butt they deserve.
But, the Bush administration is savant-like. Their ability to frame issues, perceptions, personifications, and the national vocabulary, will go down in history as the most adroit ever to occupy both Washington D.C., and at the same time, the psyche of a nation. They simply are masters of disguise.
I admire the Republicans, their party and their national apparatus. While I abhor the right-wing, all religious zealots and dogmatists, the conservatives and the corporate self-indulgent, it is inescapable to marvel at them for forming and maintaining an unmatched coalition that has assisted and harbored this administration in controlling what many in our country comprehend as the “truth.”
In spite of this, this nation is fortunate to have other savants; thinking Americans, patriotic Americans and Americans who just don’t buy “it.” It is the ostensible truth…truths such as the advertised righteousness of the Iraq War, charlatans like Karl Rove, Tom Delay, and Scooter Libby, and policies of trickle-down economics “blue sky” (sensu dark brown water and poisoned skies) environmental policy, and a litany of other offenses being perpetrated on those who “believe.” This, in stark contrast to the facts and muted vocabulary about these people and the administration’s true policies.
What comes into vivid relief when candid truth is sought and found is an assault on our security, our freedoms, our health, environment, education and our economy, et cetera, et cetera. And, to top it all off they lie to us about these things or adjust the truth—not to fit their world-view—that might just be forgivable—they lie to us in order to fit and sustain their own special interests.
The progressive party, democratic party, liberals, libertarians, or whatever those of us who research, question and challenge mendacity are called these days by the sycophant right, know another truth; a truth gained by facts, truthfulness and transparency. It is no more complex than this: facts don’t support this administration, its values or its behavior at home, or abroad.
Given this, mine is an angst-ridden yet optimistic view of the future. This is possible because of my personal and robust political alliances and my close friendships and associations with the kinds of Americans who know better. These are Americans who don’t buy “it,” they are Americans who accept multiplicity and value all Americans, even those who have gone astray to the extreme right (or extreme left), lured by charismatic bluster, subterfuge and lies. Lastly, in my professional life I know Americans who will protect and promote stewardship of our egalitarian way of life and of the earth itself.
In closing, I know droves of these Americans. I can only hope they will vote in droves in 2006 and 2008 and watch over, like hawks, the fanatics, illusionists, profligates and importantly, the elections process and even the Supreme Court, if necessary.
