Now there is a honest, hard-working man who should run for Mayor. Someone who not only represents and stands up for his Ward but for the entire City.Flag

Name: Cindy Sindoni-cagnina on Jan 26, 2013Comments: As a lifelong resident of Woburn, I am becoming overwhelmed with the growth and traffic issues, almost to the point of considering relocating. As it is to travel from the west side to north woburn at rush hour is a sometimes 30 minute commute. Adding 168 additional housing units will just add to the nightmare. The residents of the city and especially north Woburn deserve to be heard. It is our city and thier nieghborhood!.Flag

Name: James Burks on Jan 26, 2013Comments: As the Leader of our City Mayor Galvin, why didn't you purchase this site for open space just like you did with Spence Farm and Whispering Hill. Where were you at all of the many meetings on this? I saw you only once and you spoke for a few minutes and then left. You didn't have the decency to stay and listen to the concerns of the residents. I am very disappointed in your performance.Flag

Name: Barbara Nowell on Jan 26, 2013Comments: I feel this project is not good for the city, the residents of the City of Woburn or anyone who travels Main Street (Rt 38) in No. Woburn. The only ones prospering from this project is the land owner and the "quarry" company that will be established in the city if this project is approved. Stand by the residents of the city and fight this project.Flag

Name: Frank J. Ingram, Esquire on Feb 3, 2013Comments: Mayor Galvin; I vehemently oppose the project as discussed below, First it will exacerbate an already barely tolerable traffic situation on Rt. 38. Commuters from Wilmington, Tewksbury, Billerica, Woburn, and some from Burlington use Rt. 38 as an access to Rt.s 128 and 93. the project will make the present gridlock far worse. Second, the already badly deteriorated infrastructure will be overburdened and further damaged. In these difficult economic neither Woburn nor Wilmington can or should divert valuable resources to support a project which ultimately has private interests as its primary focus( I know it is a public housing project, however i doubt the developers are doing the work at cost. So much for altruism!). On balance, neither could either community simply allow the infrastructure to suffer accelerated disintegration. Rhetorically one needs to ask, should the project go forward, what is in it for the citizens of Woburn and Wilmington? The answer is damn little. All in all, you would better serve your constituency by denying the project or, in the alternative, seeking a locus which would not harm the interests of the respective communities. Respectfully submitted, Frank J. Ingram, EsquireFlag
