Comments: What the hell I had asthma when I was a kid, and my mom has trouble with asthma and bronchitis. If it weren't for inhalers, I probably would've died when I was 7, and who knows where my mother would be. Whoever came up with the idea of banning them needs to get their heads out of their frickin asses

Comments: I NEED ALBUTEROL, I ONLY USE IT WHEN I AM REALLY IN ASTHMA AND BREATHING DISTRESS. IF YOU ALMOST DIED BECAUSE YOU CAN'T BREATHE, YOU WOULD PROTEST TOO. WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU, DO YOU THINK ASTHMATIC'S DYING IS FUNNY WE NEED OUR INHALER, AND SHAME ON YOU.

Comments: I have 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren that use Albuterol Inhalers. Without the inhalers what would they do Carry around big ole clumsey nebulizers and a supply of liquid albuterol Now that's convenient. I'm sure that'll go over big with kids. Parents are never going to be able to replace it every time a child loses or breaks a nebulizer. Not to mention not being able to plug it in everywhere.

Comments: I really really really hate the new inhalers. They are horrible. They are not as effective as the old inhalers. After I use it I feel like I still need another dose and my chest still feels tight. The old aerosol inhalers were way more effective. Did anyone try this before they forced us to start using them. I understand getting rid of aerosols that are not life saving. Butttt !!!! Why would you take away something that helps people breath when having an asthma attack. Not only are they horrible but the price more then tripled. I can't see anyone who has serious asthma choosing this new inhaler over the old one. They should over a choice between the two or just stop making the new ones. They have taken away are fast acting inhalers and gave us a horrible excuse for an inhaler. Shame on the drug companies for replacing a wonder product with a more exspensive and less effective product.

Comments: My doctor switched me to ProAir HFA inhalers a couple of months ago. I did not know the reason why until today when I looked up ProAir. I am usually given 2 inhalers a month of my old inhaler. They normally last me more than 2 months. This time I noticed that one inhaler did not even last me a week. I figured maybe it was just a bad inhaler. The next two inhalers also did not last a week. My doctor;s nurse told my doctor I was abusing my inhalers. I was furious that he just assumed it was my fault. I went through 8 inhalers in less than a month. Each inhaler is suppose to have 200 metered doses in it. I did not get any relief when I used the inhalers. If it was not for my machine that I am suppose to use for emergency purposes I would probably be dead now. When I went to the pharmacy dept to complain about it I was told I was abusing my inhalers again. Finally out of pure desparation I went to see the Patient Relations Advocate at the VA. She told me that other people had complained about the inhalers not lasting. I told her I could not leave my home because I needed my machine to use constantly. I went from using my machine from a couple of times a year to over 8 times a day. I was being treated like I was a Heroin Junkie by the VA and ProAir was my drug of choice. For two months I have not been able to do anything but just stay in my home using my machine all day. I am furious becuase I had to suffer for months because of ProAir HFA. As I stated before if it wasn't for the Patient Advocate believing my story and telling me that she has recieved several complaints about my new inhalers I probable would have died. I was really bad off. Also the inhaler would stop working even when there was still medicine in the inhaler.

Comments: The FDA are always out to make a buck. I love the fact that if i'm sick and i'm unaware that my inhaler is empty...... its convenience to walk into a Wal-Mart and medicate myself 3am in the morning. I don't want to drive around the world barely breathing while i'm looking for a 24/7 open pharmacy or required to lick the medical insurance industry ass. This thing has been around for years and it will effect a small group in a negative way but for the majority it works just fine. I've used it my whole life and i'm 33 years of age. All of the FDA products have side effects with things that might happen so why is Primatene Mist the enemy. The only thing they could come up with that would stick is aerosol and the environment. Its a load of crap because their not making money off it. The FDA will let you die before they give you a financial break. DO NOT LET THEM TAKE ANOTHER WAY TO SAVE YOUR LIFE.

Comments: These HFA inhalers don't work and there is ZERO OTC or generic alternatives to the CFC inhalers. This is outrageous!!!!!!! The FDA is playing with peple's lives and have caused me CONSIDERABLE suffering. Their policies will hasten my own death as it is now a matter of time while I await the BIG asthma attack that can't be stopped since no suitable inhaler alternative even exists anymore. Plain and simple: The FDA has put junkoutdatedpseudoscience ahead of American families!!
