| 108 | Richard Bennett | Please do not cut services to the residents of Alameda.Staffings hould be maintained &if anything increased to cover short & long term services. I'm 40 year resident of our fine city.

| 109 | Robin | Browning out this Truck Company reduces customer service to the community and is not safe for the few firefighters we have. Please think about the community when making this decision. |

| 113 | Jim | Cutting the level of protection provided by the Alameda Fire Department puts all at great risk. I am against the proposal of a cut or brown-out of the fire department's ladder trucks. |

| 116 | Steve | Do not brown out the truck company. Instead, brown out something that will not save my life like the tennis courts and golf course. |

| 120 | arthur j. mckee | We support the AFD. Safety in these turbulent times make having a full compliment an absolute MUST! |
| 121 | marion e kapellas | Keep Alameda safe, please! Do NOT close any firestations. We NEED MORE firefighters not LESS!
You all know how how stretched the department is, so DO NOT make it WORSE! |
| 122 | Orlando E. Olivarez | As a resident of this city, I do not support the proposed reduced staffing of our fire department. 911 emergencies can not be scheduled or predicted, and reducing staffing levels puts not only the citizens at greater risk, but the firefighters as well. Public safety must be kept a priority of our city to support and provide the safe environment that we have had the priviledge of having. |

| 124 | Tracy Newby | As both a resident and a member of a local CERT team, I am concerned by this proposal to reduce fire protection of our city. Reducing coverage and elimnatiing a ladder truck is asking for trouble.
Having worked in situations where management thought that overtime was a way to cover staffing shortages led to cost overages that would not have existed if they had simply hired more personnel. The reduction of OT would outweigh the additional benefits costs of hiring new people.
Please reconsider taking this course of action. As a member of a local CERT team, I am concerned that valuable and necessary equipment cannot be brought to bear in a disaster due to fewer trucks being deployable due to staffing shortages. We can only do so much with the limited equipment we have.
Tahnk you for listening,
Mr. Tracy Newby

| 132 | Nilda Cancel | we live in "earthquake country"-should we experience the earthquake that we know is coming, we will need all of the public emergencyt services available. The safety and well-being of a city state or country for that matter is non-negotiable as far as budgets are concerned with reegards to emergency services--especially in regions that are known for fires and natural disasters. |
| 133 | Mary Sainsbury | In an emergency, we are likely to be cut off from outside assistance. Please do not eliminate one of our fire trucks and the equipment that we, as CERT members, may need to save our familes, neighbors and homes. |

| 142 | Kim Brindley | Please do not "brow-out" our firedepartment - or we may have a black-out that ends up smelling of smoke. Please do not jeopardize our safety; keep our fire department staffed at the current ratio. Thank you,

| 150 | Anonymous | As a new firefighter, I strongly oppose the closing of a truck company. They are a vital asset to the fire department, and the community of Alameda. If the truck company is taken out of service, it will have a big impact on the City of Alameda and its public safety. |
