WHY I WANT SCOTT BEASON TO RESIGN From "empty the clip" on illegal immigration to "aborigines" to his sponsorship of the nation's "cruelest immigration law" and on to single-handedly torpedoing a fix to Jefferson County's financial mess, State Sen. Scott Beason has not been subtle in his war on brown people and Alabama's most populous county -- which coincidentally has the state's largest population of non-whites. Beason’s leadership has not only hurt an entire nationality, an entire county, an entire race, and thousands of hard working voters, but has also eroded the trust and confidence of those he serves with in the legislature. Beason’s actions must start being guided more by what’s right and wrong, and become less about who he can hurt. The latter makes him nothing more than a bully with racist views. We believe the people of Alabama deserve so much more than that. "Racism should have no place in the Alabama Senate.
